This is Jack, Class of 2017 senior from Holy Family Catholic High School.
I can remember Jack from the Shakopee Youth Hockey days, when he and my son played on the same team one year. Jack didn't have quite as long of hair, and at the time he was one of our goalies. Jack has grown up in to a handsome young man!
We had a fun time during Jack's sessions -yes I said sessionS! The first part of Jack's session we spent near his home. We took the golf cart and stopped when I spotted places to snap a few pics. It was great weather that day. It was fun getting to know Jack as a young adult versus a Squirt in youth hockey!
The second part of Jack's shoot was extra special, as we included Jack's (huntin') dog "Luci," his shotgun, along with his dad's pickup truck, and we headed to the Horse and Hunt Club in Prior Lake.
Luci was in hunting mode, hoping to flush a bird as we walked along the pathway. Hunting is a pasttime that Jack shared with his dad. I was so glad that Jack was willing to do this part of his senior session to commemorate his dad and help Jack look back on these moments and know that his dad is always with him and is proud of him even though he is no longer here. Jack, I'm not sure if you noticed that day or not, but as you and Luci were getting ready to sit on the tailgate for a photo, a single sunbeam popped out of the sky for just a split second. In my heart, I know that was your dad looking down on you!
Congratulations on your senior year, and all the best to you in your future plans!
